My Impact Story
I grew up in Stony Plain, Alberta, and my heart was captured by the Latino people after high-school mission trips to Guatemala and Mexico. The Lord placed on my heart the desire to serve in this culture, and after graduation I took a step of faith and applied with Impact Ministries. Apart from one year spent in Canada, I’ve been in Guatemala ever since.
I met my husband, Julio, here – at the time, he was a teacher in one of the Impact Ministries schools. We continue to serve Impact together, now on the Hospitality Team, working with the many mission teams that come to serve with Impact each year and with the Guatemalan staff who support the teams.
Julio also oversees the area of transportation, coordinating and maintaining all Impact’s vehicles, and the Relief in Crisis area of the ministry, which sprung up when Tropical Storms Eta and Iota hit us in November 2020. I participate on the lead team of our VIDA Discipleship Program, which provides North Americans the opportunity to spend three months in Guatemala as part of a twelve-month discipleship journey, and we both serve on the Children’s Home Committee.

Join my Ministry Team
Impact Ministries is a faith-based organization, with all missionaries personally involved in raising support. On the mission field and as believers in Christ, I have come to realize that we cannot do anything on our own. We are dependent on Christ and on His Body which is the Church, to continue the work he has called us to. I would love it if you would join my ministry team as I serve in Guatemala.
