Today I am a Vida Teacher

Teacher Evelyn teaches Kindergarten at Vida Chamché School

I started studying at a Vida School when I was six, and continued all the way through Teacher Training.

My teachers spoke to me about God’s love and the wonderful things He can do in our lives. And brothers and sisters traveled all the way to Guatemala to bless children like me through children’s ministry.

Each year, I received gifts such as shoes and groceries. I was always so excited. I knew behind those gifts was a sponsor who was supporting me, and I thanked God for them.

Every morning, I received a plate of food from the school kitchen. I also visited the school clinic. When I was in fifth grade, I was blessed to receive an eye exam and a pair of glasses.

Throughout my schooling, I saw God’s goodness through the teachers, doctors, and international brothers and sisters who supported us.

Today, I am a teacher at Vida Chamché School. My greatest desire is to share God’s Word with my students and remind them that God is always with them.

Teacher Evelyn’s story was first shared in the Impact Ministries 2025 Ministry Report
